I've recorded several projects at Soundworks Studio's and two full length albums. Both of the albums were masterfully produced, recorded and mastered by Walt Chambers and Andy Oxman. This is the best Studio to record in the Kansas City Area. Both albums had songs in the top 5 on a popular online Texas Radio Station. The environment is top notch as well as the equipment! I have referred over a dozen local, regional as well as national touring bands to Soundworks and all of them bragged about the quality of the product and service they received. The few that didn't record at Soundworks eventually brought their supposed finished product to Soundworks for them to try and salvage what they could. They've taken a trash recording and made it radio quality. If you go anywhere else you will sadly disappointed. Give them a call and make some music together!

Andy was not only accommodating and sensitive to all the needs musically to create the best possible recording, he also showed caring and excitement for the success of my cd project. Any info I needed he provided, and went the extra step by introducing me to and/or putting me in contact with people who could help promote the finished product. Also, Andy created a warm and welcoming atmosphere to the studio, so we all had a great time at every recording session.
Mark,
I have the privilege of co-hosting a weekly podcast from SoundWorks Studio and thus, have the honor of partnering/collaborating with the very talented Andy Oxman. Andy is in the top tier of his industry across the country. He is a master as an engineer, possessing a wealth of expertise, experience and know-how. He is remarkably smooth under pressure. Andy can easily adjust to technical changes on the fly, significantly enhancing the quality of imperfect vocals, music, etc. Andy is encouraging (which is very much appreciated when things get stressful in the studio) supportive and quality oriented - working with a wide range of clients from beginners to the industry's very, very best. Andy is sought after as a beta tester, conducting usability testing for top recording software companies before new versions are released. As a result, he remains on the cutting edge at all times. I am grateful for the chance to work with such an exemplary sound engineer. Andy loves what he does and it shows. Sincerely, 11 out of 10 stars!

The place is a future legendary spot! We love the employees and felt like we were recording at home(without the stress and noise). Equipment is leading edge and so is the skilled labor! Even the boss is hands on and interested in your finished product.

Two words....quality recording. Andy is the best. If you know how you want your music to sound, tell him and he will do as you say. Take my advice though...let him play with your stuff. You'll be impressed. He has never let me down in years. Walt is one of the best guitar teachers in kc and its an all around very comfortable environment!!
